Collaboration

The department is affiliated to some professional bodies including Ghana Institute of Surveyors (GhIS) and Ghana Institute of Construction (GIOC). These bodies organize seminars and lectures from time to time to bridge the gap between the theoretical aspects of the program and the professional /practical practice on the field. At these seminars students are given the opportunity to interact and receive answers from the professionals on issues bordering on experience and other relevant areas of the various professions.

This workshop is one of the most valuable assets of the College and University as a whole. It undertakes the repairs and production of furniture for the entire university.

It serves as a teaching workshop for the Departments of Architecture and Building Technology. It has one main working area with five offices and a store room.

It also helps students in executing their projects by providing mould boxes amongst others.

It is currently headed by Mr. Joseph Agyemang Badu with one permanent staff and seven casual workers; mainly carpenters and a machine operator.

Clients: The main client is the University, however, some private clients also patronise the activities of the Department.
