The MSc Construction Management Programme is a one (1) calendar year programme consisting of three semesters. Students who enrol on the programme are required to take 12 examinable modules and 3 non-examinable modules making a total of 15 modules. These 15 modules are structured such that, for full-time study, 6 taught modules and 1 non-examinable module are taken in the first and second semesters, and 1 research dissertation in the third session of the first year;

To qualify for the award of MSc degree in Construction Management at KNUST, students will be required to pass all courses and complete a minimum of 34 credit hours.

Applicants for the programme should hold;

1. A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower  in Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Technology and Management, Civil Engineering, Pg. Dip. in Architecture or MSc Architecture or other relevant programme from an accredited university.

2. Candidates must attend an interview session and pass before admission.

Graduates from the programme on completion will occupy senior level management positions as Managing Directors, Project Managers, Contract Managers, etc. in both private and public sector organisations in the Construction industry and other economic sectors, including:

Energy and petroleum,

Mining,

Banking and financial,

Real estate,

Medical and pharmaceutical,

NGOs,

Health and educational institutions

etc.
