The MSc Project Management Programme is a one (1) calendar year programme consisting of three semesters. Students who enrol on the programme are required to take 12 examinable modules and 3 non-examinable modules making a total of 15 modules. These 15 modules are structured such that, for full-time study, 6 taught modules and 1 non-examinable module are taken in the first and second semesters, and 1 research dissertation in the third session of the first year;

To qualify for the award of MSc degree in Construction Management at KNUST, students will be required to pass all courses and complete a minimum of 36 credit hours.

THIRD SEMESTER 

Thesis

Applicants for the programme should hold;

1. A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower  in a construction, management, finance, business and other relevant disciplines programme from an accredited university.

2. Non-related bachelor’s degree holders with at least two years working experience in the field of procurement and related areas may be considered.

3. Candidates must attend an interview session and pass before admission.

Graduates from the programme on completion will occupy senior level management positions as Managing Directors, Project Managers, Contract Managers, etc. in both private and public sector organisations in the construction Industry and other economic sectors, including;

Energy and petroleum,

Mining,

Banking and financial,

Real estate,

Medical and pharmaceutical,

NGOs,

Public institutions,

etc in Ghana.

Their employment prospects can also be stretched to cover the private institutions and committees responsible for innovation of professional groups like Project Management Institute (Globally and Locally) and firms who invest in Development, Human Capital Training and Development and NGOs.
