The Department of Construction Technology and Management is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new postgraduate programme: the MSc. Project Forensics & Value Management. This innovative addition to our academic portfolio responds directly to a growing and pressing need within the construction and project management industry — the need for professionals who can not only manage projects, but also forensically investigate their failures and strategically enhance their value.

Across the globe, construction and infrastructure projects continue to be plagued by cost overruns, contractual disputes, delays, and underperformance, often resulting in costly litigation, strained client relationships, and diminished returns on investment. Yet the professionals equipped to unravel these complex issues and to proactively prevent them remain remarkably scarce. This programme has been carefully designed to close that gap.

By bringing together two powerful and complementary disciplines Project Forensics, the rigorous, evidence-based investigation of project failures and disputes, and Value Management, the strategic optimization of cost, function, and quality, this MSc produces a new breed of professionals who are equally skilled at diagnosing what went wrong on a troubled project as they are at engineering superior value into a successful one.

This is more than just a new course; it is a bold response to an industry in need of sharper analytical minds, stronger investigative capability, and a renewed focus on value-driven outcomes. We are proud to be among the pioneers introducing this specialized qualification, and we warmly invite prospective students to be part of this transformative first cohort.
